Medan - FKM USU: A total of 31 students accompanied by 7 (seven) lecturers from the Nutrition Undergraduate Study Program conducted a table manner course at the Four Point Hotel Medan, Friday (8 December 2023). This activity is carried out so that students can know and understand the arrangement of dishes and eating procedures at banquets, which is one of the topics of the "Culinary Nutrition" course. During this visit, the Banquet Operations Manager of the Four Point Hotel, M. Arif Pribadi explained about table manners starting from dressing etiquette, sitting position when eating, to the use of cutlery. The hotel also prepares three dishes in table manner practices starting from appetizer, main course, and dessert. Lecturer in the Culinary Nutrition course Dr. Ernawati Nasution, S.K.M., M. Kes. hopes that after participating in this table manner field practice students will be able to apply table manner knowledge well and be able to differentiate the arrangement and order of dishes in everyday life.
